Think Small First
Why Thoughtful Gifts Still Matter
Thoughts.
You have them. I have them. We all have them.
So when did we surrender our ability to think to the algorithms of social media?
We’ve talked about this before, but I think it’s worth saying again.
As we make our way into the holiday season, remember: it’s the thought that counts.
And make sure it’s your thought that goes into your holiday gift giving.
Not whatever the algorithm decided was the “perfect gift.” Not whatever everyone else is buying. Not another thing that happens to be trending this week.
Think about the person you’re shopping for. What do they love? What makes them smile? What would make them think, “You really know me.”
And when you start thinking about your holiday shopping, think small first.
At Kiko’s Den, we spend a lot of time thinking about the gifts we bring through our doors. We search for things that are beautiful, useful, special, and just a little unexpected. We want you to walk in and find something that makes you think, “This is so them.”
You just need to give us a little information and let us work our magic.
And while we’re busy bringing you those magical little collections, we need you too. Shopping with small businesses helps keep them here, in your community, for the next holiday, the next birthday, the next “I need a gift and I have absolutely no idea what to get” moment.
So this holiday season, before you let the algorithm do your thinking for you, take a minute to think for yourself.
Think about the people you love.
Think about the businesses in your community.
Think local. Shop small. Support your local businesses this holiday season.
